Safari itineraries are according to choice. Those that
follow are ones that are recommended but by no means are
inflexible. However, looking at a map of Tanzania or East
Africa belies the distance-time factor. What you may consider
a two hour drive could well be a two day drive. Serengeti
is well worth at least three days; it's a large park.
For those interested in combining game viewing with walking,
we suggest the Lake Natron and Ikoma areas. For the more
hardy, climbing the active voldcano Oldoinyo Lengai is
a challenge(5-7 hours). The Ngorongoro to Lake Natron
walk is an option in the 13 to15 day safaris. Normally
the walking safaris are an extension of the wildlife safaris.
Safaris start and end in Arusha. Tariffs are per person.
If you require an overnight at a hotel in Arusha or Nairobi,
a list of those available will be sent to you. Fly-In/Drive-out
safaris save a day of travel: there is a supplement of
$150 per person for the flight.
